A Reminder About the Real Power Behind Having a Dream

It’s the wanting of the dream that is satisfying, not the having.

It’s great to achieve your dreams, but make sure you’ve diversified your dreams enough, across all areas of your life, so that you never wake up one day without one.

Having a dream in life is not one solitary objective, a single dream is not the be all and end all of my journey, dreams are ever changing and exist in all areas of our lives, not just on a working professional level.

As someone who is currently learning day trading, its easy to focus on this particular aspect of my life, forgetting that there are other areas that require just as much, if not more attention than my journey to becoming a pro trader.

My family and spending time with my wife and children and loved ones should be a priority over learning to trade, but I do find myself giving more time to learning trading because I feel that by devoting time to this skill, will also benefit my family immensely in the longer term, but forgetting sometimes that I should also be devoting quality time to them, my health, my wellbeing, instead of thinking that the dream of becoming a 7 figure pro trader will be the answer to all our problems.

But here is the kicker; the trading dream once achieved will no longer be a dream, it will be my reality, the dream has passed because I have now achieved it… so the question is… what next??!

The point in all this is that dreams come and go, some realised some not, but no matter what dream you have in the moment, it will never last, it will always be an ever-changing cycle of achieve and repeat.

The message in all this, is that never forget or take for granted the time you have, always devote time away from professional endeavours to those and other things that matter more than just your professional working life.

Life goes fast and I would prefer to have spent most of my time with my family doing amazing things together than spending it all on my working life.
